Nominations are open! You may nominate up to four fandoms and three lost/theoretical works in each fandom.

Nominations are done a bit differently - please read below on how to nominate.

The FANDOM field should be filled by the name of the canon. Try to pick a canonical name (eg, for books, the format is usually TITLE - AUTHOR, movies are TITLE (YEAR)) but don't stress about this. Just give us enough detail to identify what work it is.

The CHARACTER field should be filled out as the lost work - the work you want written. This is NOT a field for nominating characters. We will not be matching on characters. If the lost work has a name, use that. If it does not, use a name that is informative - eg "Character's field reports". We are not familiar with all fandoms, so make sure this is informative - when it comes time for requesting and offering, other people will need to make sense of it.

For example, suppose I want to nominate Averil's Atonement, Anne Shirley's manuscript she writes. In the FANDOM field, I would fill in "Anne of Green Gables - Lucy Maud Montgomery"; in the CHARACTER field, I would fill in "Averil's Atonement (book)". If I wanted to nominate a work I didn't know the name of, but was likely to have been written, such as field reports by the Black Widow, I would nominate FANDOM as "Marvel Cinematic Universe" and CHARACTER as "Natasha Romanov's case files on X".

Regarding works that are not mentioned by name - theoretical works - please use your best judgement and err on the side of more caution: nominate works that are very likely to have been written/made. Remember, someone else has to request or offer them! For specificity, again, please use your best judgement. You need to give enough detail that someone can decide whether or not to request/offer, but give them enough leeway to actually write it themselves.

Do spread the word about nominations - among friends you think are interested, communities where you think people are interested, all good! Nominations are open till Sunday May 31, 11:59 Eastern Time.

And if you need inspiration, here is the Wikipedia page that links a bunch of lists of fictional books, fictional shows, and fictional plays.

I tried nominating, but I got the following response. I'm not sure what the problem is, since these are fictional books in the Harry Potter universe.

The tag Hogwarts: A History is already in the archive as a Freeform tag. (All tags have to be unique.) Try being more specific, for instance tacking on the medium or the fandom.

The tag Muggles Who Notice - Blenheim Stalk is already in the archive as a Fandom tag. (All tags have to be unique.) Try being more specific, for instance tacking on the medium or the fandom.

Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America should go under Parks and Recreation, not unassociated characters.
